Roullete (French for wheel of fortune) is a gambling game where players bet on which numbered compartment of a revolving wheel a small ball will come to rest in as it spins. The game offers a wide variety of betting options, including grouped numbers in a single bet. The payouts for these bets differ, as do the odds of winning and losing. Whether you want to play for the money or just enjoy yourself, roulette can be one of the most exciting table games in a casino.

During the 17th century, Blaise Pascal, French philosopher and mathematician, was in pursuit of a perpetual motion machine, or “Roulette.” In his attempt to solve this problem, he designed a complicated mechanical device that used a series of concentric rings to rotate. The resulting wheel was later adopted by the casino owners of Europe, where the game is played today.

Roulette is a game of chance and involves placing bets against the house. In the game, you can bet on individual numbers, groups of numbers, or a combination of both. You can choose to bet on the first or last 18 or 19 numbers; a low or high bet, known as passe et manque in France; or on a corner bet. Depending on the game, you may also be able to make a street bet or a solitary number bet.
